Salma is a student in the Interdisciplinary in health and society Ph.D. program at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), under the supervision of Geneviève Sauvé. Holding a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in career counseling, she works as a private career counselor alongside her studies.

With several years of experience working with a variety of clientele, Salma is particularly interested in th professional reintegration among people living with severe mental illness. Her thesis project aims to better understand and document the various intervention approaches aimed at promoting the employability of people living with mental health issues.

In her free time, she enjoys running, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
